Please do not wear white or red, these are the colors of the bride and groom. Men: You can choose any suit and tie color that you’d like to wear. If it’s too hot on the day (it will be July), don’t worry about wearing a jacket or a tie, it’s summer! Subhaan, Isabella, and their families will wear Pakistani wedding attire for the reception. We encourage all who feel comfortable to wear Pakistani wedding guest attire as well! If you do not feel comfortable doing so, you may wear American Formal. If you are feeling unsure of your outfit, feel free to send Isabella (7206264110) and Subhaan (5713541828) a text! We are happy to help you. Kids: If your child is invited to the reception, you can look for Pakistani formal wear for them on most of the websites recommended. They are mini versions of the men’s and women’s styles. Women: Women can wear an embellished Shalwar Kameez (tunic and pants) with a Dupatta (scarf). They can also wear an Anarkali or Lehenga (dress). Please do not wear a saree, or a lehenga that has midriff showing. Pakistani wedding guest attire is modest, covering shoulders and midriff. You can wear any formal heels or flats that match your outfit, or you can wear Khussas (embroidered flats). Go big on jewelry with necklaces, earrings, and bangles! Please do not wear white or red, these are the colors of the bride and groom. Men: Men can wear a Shalwar Kurta (formal tunic and pants), a Sherwani (formal jacket). The top should have some kind of embroidery or embellishment to make it feel formal. Men can also wear Khussa/Jutti, sandals, or loafers/dress shoes. Please do not wear white or red, these are the colors of the bride and groom. We highly recommend looking at the links we provided for you to shop!
