Things To Do

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

100 Red Cox Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32080

If you’re looking for a little adventure (and a great view), we highly recommend visiting the St. Augustine Lighthouse! It holds a very special place in our hearts. Back in 2018, we climbed all 219 steps, no small feat, especially considering Nick is afraid of heights! But somewhere between catching our breath and taking in the view, we both said “I love you” for the very first time.

Columbia Restaurant

Columbia Restaurant

98 Saint George Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084

If you’re looking for a great place to eat, we highly recommend the Columbia Restaurant. This is one of our favorite spots in St. Augustine. The Columbia is actually the oldest restaurant in Florida, with roots dating back to 1905 (Ybor City). With its Spanish-Cuban influence and classic atmosphere, it fits right in with the charm of St. Augustine. Our go-to order is the famous 1905 Salad. It's fresh, unique, and always prepared tableside. If you end up there, definitely give it a try… and think of us when you do!

Sangrias Wine and Tapas Bar

Sangrias Wine and Tapas Bar

35 Hypolita Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084

If you’re in the mood for sangria, this is a great spot. They have seven homemade options, both frozen and classic. Our go-to is grabbing a pitcher and sitting on the balcony overlooking the historic streets downtown. It’s an easy place to relax and do a little people watching. Definitely recommend stopping by for a drink and some bruschetta!

Handcarved Rings

Handcarved Rings

46 Saint George Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084

A true St. Augustine classic. The hand carved ring stand has been around for years and is one of those unique little spots you won’t find just anywhere. It’s also a special one for the bride. She went here on a 3rd grade field trip with her dad and picked out a ring that was carved right in front of her! If you’re walking around downtown, it’s definitely worth stopping by to check it out and maybe leave with a one of a kind souvenir.

Vilano Coffee Shop

Vilano Coffee Shop

140 Vilano Rd Suite A, St. Augustine, FL 32084

For guests staying in Vilano Beach, this coffee shop is a great spot just minutes from accommodations. It’s perfect for a coffee run or a quick breakfast before the day gets going. It’s also an ideal grab-and-go spot if you’re heading to the beach, and an easy choice anytime you need a caffeine fix.

Saint Augustine Distillery

Saint Augustine Distillery

112 Riberia Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084

A great stop if you’re exploring downtown. The St. Augustine Distillery is set inside a beautifully restored historic ice plant, which adds to the charm and history of the experience. They offer free self-guided tours and tastings, where you can try their locally made whiskey, rum, gin, and vodka. Everything is made “farm to bottle” using Florida ingredients, making it truly unique to the area. It’s an easy and fun place to walk through, learn a little, and enjoy a free taste along the way!
