Maid of Honor
Livi has always been my partner in crime being Isabella's only sister. We have countless memories tormenting our parents by making them watch our terrible singing and dancing routines to dragging Livi all around the twin cities on whatever adventure I could conjured up. Olivia is an extremely witty lady and you can find her the day of our wedding entertaining our friends and family with a whiskey in hand.
Best Man
I met Al when we were both in third grade at Lake Elmo Elementary, and quickly became close friends after bonding over sports, video games, and just about everything imaginable. We spent countless weekends playing hockey in the basement, Nintendo 64, or inventing new games to try – safe to say there was never a dull moment. As we grew we just added more memories, and it’s a friendship that will last a lifetime. I haven’t met anyone I can just be myself more around than Al, and he is an unbelievable friend, someone I would call a brother. You’ll find him with a smile on his face at the wedding, bringing a smile to all around him with his ‘Dad’ jokes.
Matron of Honor
Ellyn was my Resident Adviser my first year at the University of Manitoba, needless to say she did not make me follow any of the rules and we quickly became best friends. Ellyn has an adventurous spirit, she helped plan our trips hiking through Kenyan rain forests and meeting retired elephants in Thailand. Ellyn will make friends with anyone and you can find her on the dance floor or playing a yard game with anyone at our wedding.
Officiant & Groomsman
I met Tyler senior year of high school through mutual friends, and it didn’t take long for us to find out how much we had in common. From our incredible taste in television shows (Seinfeld, Simpsons), to our heartbreaking and disappointing Vikings fandom, it’s a friendship that developed quickly. There is nobody that laughs at their own jokes more than Tyler, but you always seem to join in. What I love about Tyler is how genuine he is, and how he always seems to light up a room with his sense of humor. Tonight you’ll find Tyler quickly from the sound of his booming laughter, entertaining everyone around him.
Officiant & Bridesmaid
Maria and I met freshman year in high school and have been inseparable ever since. We started our friendship by having one date night a week and that evolved quickly into her having her own bed set up in my room. Maria has also seen the entirety of our relationship, she quickly became our 3rd wheel going on trips to Vegas (with both mike and I) South East Asia with myself and countless sporting events. Maria is loving, kind and so strong, she is a friend that you want to have on your side, she is my biggest cheerleader! You will undoubtedly find Maria the day of our wedding on the dance floor!
Groomsman
I met John senior year of high school through mutual friends (Al being the main one, a common theme) and we quickly became friends. Despite John’s ventures out of state to San Diego and Indiana, the connection we have formed has never faded – he is as loyal a friend as you can find. You can go months without seeing him, and it’s like you saw him yesterday. With all the Wild games, all the road trips, all the music we’ve discovered together, it’s been a friendship I will always cherish, no matter where he ends up next. John may be quiet to start to wedding off, but give him some time, and he will tear the dance floor down when the time is right.
Bridesmaid
I met Ashley because she is Mike's sister but she quickly welcomed me into the family. Ashley is the life of the party always coming up with new games for the family to play. She is always building people up and thinking of ways she can make them smile. She is selfless, spontaneous and an incredible mother to the 2 best nephews anyone could have. On our wedding day you will find Ashley with a Bud Light entertaining her family and friends.
Groomsman
I met Nick when I was ten, he started dating my sister when she went off to college. Ashley brought Nick home, and no doubt did I find it cool to have an eighteen year old hanging around, but of course he had to go through my rites of passage. Nick will be the first to recall stories of my physical abuse to him with a baseball bat, among other things a ten year old would do. As I’ve grown up, Nick has been someone who has greatly influenced my life in more ways than he can understand, and never felt like just a brother-in-law. With all the nights in Lakeville, all the fantasy football scheming, and so much more, I’ll always be thankful how I was treated growing up, and how close we’ve become as I’ve aged. Tonight Nick will find the dance floor early, likely as the center of attention.
Bridesmaid
Kate is a friend that I didn't know I needed until she popped up in my life. We became friends after years of knowing of each other in high school but the moment we stopped and had a conversation we were inseparable. We spent hours and hours chatting in Al Bassett (Mike's Best Man and Kate's husband) basement trying to avoid the ever present sports talks that were constant. Our friendship has only strengthened over the 10 years of knowing each other. Kate is a determined, compassionate and adventurous women. You will find her the day of our wedding with a wine in hand enjoying some adult conversation and while showing off her new baby boy.
Groomsman
I met Mac when I started dating Izzy, summer of 2011. Something I learned quickly with Mac is that not everybody wants to talk as much as I do – he is more of the silent type. It was definitely intimidating early on to get to know my significant other’s older brother, but over time I realized how great of a guy Mac is, and how passionate he is about the things he cares about. Be it fitness, finances, or nutrition, the guy is as intelligent as they come. I’ve learned so much by just listening to him, and have really cherished the connection we’ve formed as Izzy and I’s relationship grew. Tonight you’ll find Mac observing the room, more than likely sticking to himself – but once you start talking to him, you’d better pay attention so you can keep up!
Bridesmaid
Pris and I met our first day at the University of Maitoba, we went to the worlds most awkward meet up but ended up finding each other and the rest is history. We were roomates for 2 years and also had most of the same classes together so we were honestly attached to eachothers hips all throughout college. Priscilla can make me laugh harder then anyone and we never have a dull moment together. You can find Pris on the day of our wedding with a beer in hand laughing and dancing all night long.
Groomsman
I met Shane in college at BSU during my third year, as he moved from Boston to Bemidji to attend school. We met one of the first nights in the dorms, and clicked early due to our sports interests. A guy from Boston who has seen countless championships fit in quickly with a bunch of Minnesotans who have known nothing but losing. Shane and I grew close in the two short years we were at school together, and I learned how spontaneous and intelligent of a person he is. From Vegas, the late-night conversations on the weekends, and cabin trips, anytime Shane was there, you knew it was going to be a great time. It’s hard to find someone as thought-provoking and honest as Shane, something I truly respect. At the wedding, there is no doubt people will walk away thinking Shane was the best dancer.
