Brian and Celeste Caffee and Steve and Shelli Reeves cordially invite you to Marcus and Isabella's wedding
Marcus and Isabella met during School of Music Ambassador training in August 2021. To make the SOMAs a more cohesive leadership team, they planned group hangouts at the start of the semester. Little did they know that these gatherings would be the start of something special. Marcus asked Isabella out after a SOMA beach trip, which she swears was part of his master plan (he picked her up first so she'd sit in the front seat next to him). They clicked instantly, bonding over their shared degree path of music in combination with premed and their love of the University of Florida. They even spent their first date in the music building, attending a recital. Their journey took an unexpected turn when Marcus fell ill with an antibiotic-resistant strain of strep throat, transforming a brief ailment into a months-long chronic struggle. During this challenging time, Isabella's unwavering support became the heartbeat of Marcus's recovery. Through three surgeries and challenging moments, their love not only endured but flourished. Marcus says he knew Isabella was the one after she took him to an empty hospital wing and put on their song, "Woman" by John Lennon, and they tried to dance without getting tangled in his IV. In the face of illness, their love not only endured but emerged stronger, fortifying them with the resilience needed to face life's challenges head-on. In their musical endeavors, Marcus became Isabella's go-to accompanist, and Isabella listened to Marcus's performance of "El Puerto" by Albeniz, the piece that Marcus used to win the Reitz Scholarship, countless times. As they progressed in their medical school journey, their late nights in the practice room turned into late nights in front of their laptops studying for the MCAT. Their shared love for adventure and exploration has taken them from jazz clubs in New Orleans to the breathtaking heights of Angel's Landing in Utah, creating a tapestry of memories across ten states. With each new adventure, they were attuned to the harmony of their spirits, weaving melodies of laughter and support through life's challenges. Marcus proposed on April 29, 2023, in Haile Village, near his childhood home. And now, we stand together, poised to embark on life's greatest duet – our marriage. We invite you, our treasured friends and family, to join us on this journey, to lend your voices to the chorus of celebration. Thank you for being a part of our symphony. With love, Marcus and Isabella
