Picture the romantic setting of the Vacaville Nut Tree, we were working at Old Navy while we were both in college. During my first interview on the sales floor, Kyle was ducking behind the cash register, watching me - hoping I didn't see his grubby t-shirt and messy hair after working an overnight shift. This is super normal, and not creepy. Well I got the job! And on my first shift folding jeans in the fitting room, our manager called in Kyle for the closing shift, and he made sure to spiffy himself up. When he walked in, it worked. I did a very real double-take. He was wearing a blue and yellow pineapple button up and sneakers, and he was actually quite rude to me. And I pretended that I didn't care. We spent a few months teasing each other during shifts, Eventually, he caught on, (our coworkers were tired of us and told him to make a move) and we've been best friends since then.
