We want all of our guests to feel comfortable and able to fully enjoy the celebration. Please choose attire that you can easily stand, sit, and dance in throughout the evening. We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing hats, shorts, t-shirts, or jeans. For women, we encourage modest attire: dresses or skirts that fall below the knee and provide appropriate coverage at the neckline. Thank you for helping us create a beautiful and respectful atmosphere on our special day.
Not at all! We are so happy to celebrate with all of our family and friends and everonly is warmly welcomed to attend the ceremony. We simply ask that guests be respectful of the church and its traditions during the service. If you're unfamiliar with an Orthodox wedding, don't worry, programs will be provided to help guide you through the ceremony.
In the Orthodox tradition, it is customary not to clap at the end of the wedding ceremony. The service is a sacred sacrament of the Church, and the focus remains on the spiritual significance rather than applause. We kindly ask that guests refrain from clapping, cheering, or talking inside the church. There will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate, cheer, and congratulate us joyfully at the reception!
Yes, absolutely! Children are more than welcome to attend the ceremony and we are so happy to celebrate with your whole family! During the service, we kindly ask that parents keep a close eye on their children and help maintain a quiet and respectful environment. If needed, there will be a designated room available with windows where parents and children can step out while still watching the ceremony and helping the little ones settle.
We kindly ask that guests refrain from using phones or taking photos during the ceremony. This is condisered a sacred and reverent time, and minimizing distractions helps us preserve the beauty and meaning of the service. We have a photographer who will be capturing the ceremony, so we invite you to be fully present with us in this special moment. Once we are in the reception hall, feel free to take pictures!
We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before the ceremony begins. This allows time to be seated and settled before the service starts, as the ceremony will begin promptly.
