We're Getting Married!

The first time we met, Garrett scared Issy. It was May 15th, 2021 and he was fixing a lawnmower in the back of Sanford Hardware's temporary workshop, while she was in the front of the shop, directing customers to the new location down the road. She had no idea there was anyone else there, and was ranting to her mom about her doubts of ever finding a nice guy. She heard a noise and walked to the back, and bam! It was love (and embarrassment) for Issy at first sight. In a couple of months we started seeing each other every day at work and soon became friends, despite Garrett's shyness and Issy's still raw embarrassment. Music and love of the outdoors really brought us together. We'd give each other songs to listen to over the weekend then rate how we liked them when we saw each other the next work week, and we'd tell each other all about our adventures we had. Fast forward again through a couple years and a job change for Issy, lots of conversations and dessert deliveries on her day off, and Issy was head over heels. Garrett was apparently too, though neither admitted it to the other. She brought him an energy drink and told him her work hours were changing and she wasn't going to come visit anymore. She thought this was the end. It wasn't. A couple weeks afterwards, Issy was longboarding down the road when Garrett passed her driving home. At this point, he finally admitted to himself he was in love. They chatted on the side of the road for a while. Then it become several times a week, the two "just happened" to be running errands to meet up with the other on a bike ride or a walk. Gradually it became Jeep drives, jet skiing, mountain biking, campfires, camping... Look at us now! On July 13th, 2024, we got engaged in Ludington on the beach, and we're getting married June 1st, 2025!! We're both in awe of our love story and how God brought us together and everything that fell into place to get us here. And we're so honored and excited you want to celebrate our special day with us!
