Travel

The Wedding Website of Isabella Lusk and Clifton McKenzie
Welcome to County Limerick!

Travel Note

Springfield Castle

When getting to the castle and surrounding areas for the ceremony or your stay, it is recommended to stay on the N21 from Limerick to Newcastle West, and then South on the R522 towards Dromcolliher (Drumcollogher). This will avoid some of the winding single lane roads that Google and Apple Maps will likely suggest.

House Or Rental

Airbnb

This is a link that will take you directly to an Airbnb list I have created. I have included various listings for people to peruse, mainly in the town of Adare. We also recommend checking listings in Newcastle West. Airbnb is an excellent option if you are planning on travelling with a few people, as there are larger homes available. Clifton and I have enjoyed staying through Airbnb on our travels throughout Ireland. It is a great way to get to know the locals and their culture!

Hotel

Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa

Adare, LK V94 F1P9, Ireland

This accommodation is in the town of Adare. Adare is a thirty minute drive to the venue through the picturesque country side of county Limerick. Adare has plenty of local pubs and restaurants that we have visited and have enjoyed!

Hotel

Longcourt House Hotel

Saint Mary's Road, Newcastle West, LK V42 TD72, Ireland

This hotel is in Newcastle West, roughly a 15 minute drive from the venue.

Hotel

Leens Hotel Abbeyfeale

The Square, Abbeyfeale, LK, Ireland

This hotel is in Abbeyfeale, roughly a 30 minutes drive away from the venue.

Rental Car

Car Rental Dublin Airport

The venue is roughly a three hour drive from Dublin Airport. We recommend renting a car from Dublin, but there are buses from the airport to Newcastle West, a nearby town, where pickups could be arranged from. Check FAQ for more information.

Rental Car

Adare Taxi Service

Adare, LK, Ireland

Adare Taxi Service can help with booking drivers and rides to and from the venue if needed. We can help arrange through them if you would like.

Flight

Aer Lingus

We have flown with Aer Lingus for most of our flights to Ireland. We recommended flying into Dublin, as this is the international airport for Ireland and is easy to navigate and find transportation from. Aer Lingus has direct flight from SeaTac to Dublin airport that we highly recommended to take a look at ( less chance for lost luggage on direct flight). One good thing to remember is when flying to Ireland you will gain one day ahead. If anyone has any questions regarding flight or travel plans, do not hesitate to reach out to Clifton or myself.

For all the days along the way
