As much as we wish that we had that “old school love at first sight” fairytale meeting, Bai & I met the more modern way… on a dating app called Hinge! It was 2023 at the time and I was living in Tucson and Bai had just recently moved to Florence. Luckily, we both had the app and were swiping to find new connections. Who would have known we were both a few swipes away from meeting our forever love. I was at work just swiping away while I came across that beautiful face. My first impressions were “she looks like an angel!” with the softest features. That curly brown hair she used to have and those beautiful green eyes I now find myself getting lost in and her sweet pink rose petals lips. I loved that we both had the same star sign (taurus), curious about this girl I swiped on her and to my surprise it was a match! on Bai’s end it went a little like this… At first it was just another regular day at home, I was bored so I hopped on hinge and started swiping, just looking for some fun flirty conversation & after only a few swipes I came across Izzy’s profile. I remember it was like a dream come true seeing her, from the outside she checked all my boxes and I was instantly infatuated by her beauty, style and vibe. I needed to know more about this dream girl of mine. I swiped and sent a prompt hoping to spark a conversation. Then I waited to see if she would even swipe back…. really hoping that she would and a few hours later I got the notification that she did!! She had responded to my message and from there the conversation just flowed. The rest of the day was spent in deep conversation & anticipating the sound of a new message. We instantly connected and had endless things to talk about, paragraphs after paragraphs of sexy flirty curiousness we decided to FaceTime, we talked all night and we made plans for our first date. A week later we met in Tucson and went on our first date of many more to come. Funny enough, that night ended with me going to a family party as Izzy’s plus 1 where I then met her entire family. Parents, siblings, cousins, tias & tios you name it. It was an amazing night of getting to know each other. I immediately knew I wanted to be with Izzy and in her life forever. As the night of our first date came to an end, the universe did its thing and gave us more time together. As I was dropping Izzy off at home my tire popped less than a block away from her house. It was too late to do anything about it so I decided to stay. After that night Izzy and I were inseparable, we had chosen eachother and knew all we wanted was to explore this new love.
