FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, however, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult only event with the exception of those specifically invited. We want you to use this trip as a weekend getaway and want you to be able to party all night with us! If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP on our website. Thank you for understanding!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 8th, 2024.

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website. No need to send anything via mail back to us!

Question

Where should we book our hotel?

Answer

We suggest booking at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Salt Lake City. The link to book is located under the 'Travel' tab, so please use that to book. This hotel will have a shuttle to and from the venue. There may also be the option to ride shuttle to and from the airport. We have the block set for Wednesday through Sunday. Please contact us if the hotel states the block is full.

Question

Should we drive to the venue?

Answer

Although getting a rental car for this trip would be very useful for exploring SLC and Utah, we'd highly recommend utilizing the shuttle to and from the venue for our wedding. The venue is located up in the mountains and can be difficult to drive in the dark. The venue also has limited parking spots as well, so we'd like to keep those available for our vendors and employees of Millcreek Inn. The drinking laws in Utah are stricter. The legal BAC level for driving is 0.05, not 0.08 like in the Midwest. We want our guests to enjoy their time with us and not have to worry about DD's or getting back safely! Ubers and Lyfts are also an option too!

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! Beer, wine, three specialty cocktails, other mixed drink options, and non-alcoholics beverages are on us!

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! It will be primarily outdoors with the reception being partially under a tent. If inclement weather happens, then the venue will set up an additional tent to cover the entire wedding space. We highly suggest bringing a jacket, shawl, or sweater to keep warm in case it is cooler up in the mountains.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We will have a variety of hor d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. For dinner, there will be a breakfast buffet. We will ensure that there are gluten free options for those who are gluten intolerant. Please let us know of any other dietary restrictions in your RSVP!

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

We totally understand that travel with gifts can be a pain, so we highly suggest you send our gifts to our address or bring them to the showers! Please note that we moved from Herriman to South Salt Lake in May. Our new address is in our registries!

Question

What should we do while in Utah?

Answer

There are so many cool things to do in Utah! We have created a list under the 'Travel' tab with lots of suggestions!
