We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!
If the invitation includes you and your partner then yes. If not we would prefer you came alone, but please ask us if you are not sure. To my single friends - no Tinder dates please :) - Marcos
We are currently working on the options and will update closer to the date!
As you can imagine, this is changing on a day to day basis as it is all around the world. Currently, people are required to show a proof of vaccination to enter Colombia. No COVID-19 test is required to enter. You do need a covid-19 test to re-enter the US. More to come on this once we get closer to the wedding date!
While some may be concerned with safety in Colombia, many of you know how often Isa and I travel to Colombia. It almost feels safer than taking the NYC Subway sometimes ;) Net, if you stay in the areas we have recommended nothing will happen. Don't make yourself an easy target either. For example, be alert when you are walking around, don't leave your wallet or phone out in the open, etc.
Tons! We highly recommend using Airbnb experiences to book these as you will find tons of reviews and more details on what the tour will look like.
We suggest scheduling your pickup from the airport prior to your arrival with your hotel. Be sure to communicate how many people and how much luggage you have as the cars tend to be very tiny. For all transportation in Medellin, it is easy to coordinate with the hotel lobby. When moving around Medellin, we suggest using Uber over taxis. Since Uber is not accepted by the local government though, you sometimes may need to sit in the front seat of the Uber.
If you are staying at Lagoon hotel or Movich - we will provide shuttles for everyone. We will request details a few weeks before the wedding to coordinate pickups and drop offs.
The currency in Colombia is Colombian pesos. Today, the conversion rate is about 3,900 COP to 1 USD but can fluctuate daily. While many places accept credit card, there are also places that only accept cash so we would suggest visiting an ATM at the airport upon arrival and having some cash on you at all times (only exchange USD in cash if you can't use an ATM to withdraw Colombian pesos). However, if you can use your credit card without international transactions fees - I would go this route.
