Take the Rte 128 Commuter Rail train to Back Bay station and walk to the Boston Public Garden. On your way, walk through Newbury Street for great food, shopping, and beautiful historic brownstones. If you'd rather drive, it's 35 minute drive from the hotels and there are many paid garages in Back Bay.
For the history buffs! The 2.5-mile Freedom Trail is a red-bricked path on Boston sidewalks that leads you to 16 official historic sites. Visitors may follow the path to walk to all Freedom Trail historic sites. Look up the map on the Freedom Trail website.
Our neighborhood! Walk around the square for shopping and good eats. Grab some food (Blackbird Donuts, Saloniki, Joe's Pizza, Felipe's Taqueria, and Clover are all great options) or a book and enjoy the fresh air and people watching in Cambridge Common or Harvard Yard. Look out for Remy, an orange tabby cat who roams the Yard! Our favorite spots for dinner or drinks: Source, Wusong Tiki Bar, The Sea Hag, Alden & Harlow, Hokkaido Ramen, or Charlie's Kitchen.
