The Chinati Foundation

The Chinati Foundation/La Fundación Chinati is a contemporary art museum in Marfa, Texas based upon the ideas of its founder, Donald Judd. The emphasis is on works in which art and the surrounding land are inextricably linked. Chinati offers guided tours of the collection as well as an outdoor Self-guided Walking Tour, Thursday-Saturday. For information and to book reservations online, go to their website!

Marfa Lights Viewing Area

The Marfa lights, also known as the Marfa ghost lights, have been observed near U.S. Route 67 on Mitchell Flat east of Marfa, Texas, in the United States. They have gained some fame as onlookers have attributed them to paranormal phenomena such as ghosts, UFOs, or will-o'-the-wisp. This is a must-visit - hopefully, the moonlight cooperates!
