We met in college through a mutual friend, but both individually decided we wouldn't like each other so we didn't talk. This was around 2016. Fast forward to the end of 2019, we are starting a Dungeons and Dragons group with friends and are told that we have to talk to each other and try and be friends at least, to make the group dynamic better. To our surprise, we don't immediately hate each other. We end up talking more and more until there's finally talk of a first date and here we still are proving ourselves wrong. The moral: You never know what you could be missing out on when you make up your mind before giving something or someone a chance.
We had been planning a weekend away at the Queen Mary since the beginning of the year for a spooky adventure filled time! We arrived Friday, July 28th evening and planned to relax in the ship and explore. One of our first stops was a beautiful 1920s style bar on the Sky Deck. We ordered an appetizer and some drinks and sat to watch the sunset across the bay. We talked and suddenly James took out a ring box and got down on one knee. I immediately started sobbing and said yes! Now we have a date set! Please join us on the Autumnal Equinox 2025 for our wedding in Twin Peaks! We can't believe it either!
