Travel Note
Flights to Costa Rica
We recommend that guests fly into Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) given its proximity to Los Almendros and the wedding location (~30 minute drive). Flights to and from San Jose (SJO) are also available but transportation would need to be arranged (~3-4 hour drive) to Playa Ocotal. Nonstop flights to LIR are available from Baltimore/Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Houston. Several layover options are available from other U.S. cities. Flights are currently more expensive than usual but are showing some signs of going down. We suggest creating a Google Flights alert for the days you are hoping to travel. Additionally, we suggest looking into weekday flight options (e.g., Tuesday/Wednesday to Tuesday) if schedules allow.
House Or Rental
Los Almendros de Ocotal
Los Almendros is our recommended housing option for guests given its amenities, beach front access, and proximity (walking distance) to the welcome party and wedding venue. There are also plenty of hotels and Airbnb's in the area if preferred. If interested at staying at Los Almendros, please be in touch with Liz or Isabel once you finalize your travel dates to help determine the best accommodation for your party.

Many of you know the infamous Freddy Ramirez whose family just happens to have a renowned travel company in Costa Rica! We will likely be coordinating shuttles to and from the airport and other activities throughout the week with Freddy's crew. Please reach out to Liz or Isabel if you would prefer shuttle services over renting a car.

Guests are welcome to rent cars through third party sites; however, Liz has a trusted contact (Steven Perez Flores) from Europcar who historically has offered fair rates and good service. Steven's preferred contact is via WhatsApp. We can also track down his email if preferred.
