Eli was in Mary Poppins the musical and Isabel was in the stage crew their Junior Year in high school. They had been talking during rehearsals and he mentioned he was not going to prom. Isabel told him that he could come with her friend group. Eli thought it was a date and Isabel did not realize it. After prom, they kept talking but grew apart during the summer. They started talking again during band camp and then started dating at the end of August.

Isabel and Eli were at his parent’s cabin in Tennessee. His parents asked if we could take some pictures of them. They said if we did, they would take pictures of us. We agreed to take some pictures of them together. Then it was time for our pictures. We took some pictures together and then Eli’s mom told Isabel to bend down and pretend to look at a rock. Eli came up behind Isabel and said “Isabel Mae Adams, will you marry me?” Isabel was super surprised and said yes!
