I&J

Our story begins on March 25, 2023. That day began like any normal Saturday for me. Wake- up, go to the gym, come home, and clean up, then start the day. Somewhere around mid-morning, Cory (one of my best friends) called to see what I had going on. After our usual small talk, he told me to meet him and his then girlfriend, now wife, Wrye at Chimys, that they had someone there they wanted me to meet. Without asking for her name or to see a picture, I agreed. Once I arrived at Chimys, everyone was in the back room, and naturally, as I’m walking up to Cory and Wrye. I began scanning everyone, wondering who the mystery girl was. Once I finally see the brunette in the corner, I’m instantly hoping that it is her, and as fate would have it, that was Isa. They were with a big group of people at the time, so Wrye introduced me to everyone. Isa and I make a little small talk, and then the next thing I know, she is back with her family and friends hanging out and having fun. Cory, Wrye, and I continue to hang out, have a few drinks,s and discuss our next plan of action. It was determined that I would join them later that evening to attend Hunter and Victoria's wedding shower at Tom and Marisa’s. Several hours later, the three of us show up at the party that is basically family and close friends only. It is here where I became the guy with the mustache that no one knows, but came with Cory and Wrye. While at the party, Iunknowingly got to meet and hang out with all of Isa’s people. I had a great time meeting and hanging out with everyone, but most importantly, I finally got the chance to talk to Isa. We chatted over a few matches of Can Jam, which, might I add that Cory and I whipped up on Isa and Hunter. Later that night, I built up the courage to ask for her number. It wasn’t long after that, Hunter, Cory, and I were the only ones left. It was here that Hunter told me how special Isa is and that if I wanted to ask her out, I should call her. Fast forward to the next evening, and Cory and I are grilling dinner. While he is cooking, I am pacing back and forth nervous as possible, trying to build the courage to call her. After what felt like eternity, I finally hit the call button, and much to my surprise, she answered and even agreed to go to dinner with me. Four days later, we went to Chuy’s, then J’s creamery. We had the best time talking about everything under the sun. This was the start of something special for us. We started dating a few months later and have not missed a beat since. This past August, I asked her to marry me, which brings us here! We are so blessed to be surrounded by the best family and friends as we start our journey of marriage together.
