Things To Do

Apart from its rich maritime history, Rockport is perhaps best known for it's thriving arts scene, a tradition that dates back to the early 1900s. Walk Bearkskin Neck and visit the many fine art galleries, tourist shops, cafes, and restaurants along the water. There are two sandy beaches within easy walking distance of downtown: Old Garden Beach to the south and Front beach to the north. The interior of Cape Ann has a dizzying maze of trails that wind through wooded hills past granite quarries, old stone foundations, and glacial erratics with hand carved inscriptions. Rockport has something for everyone! Below are a few of our favorite food and activity destinations!
