BOOK EARLY!!! The date of our wedding coincides with the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Mexico—November 1-2. Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, is a traditional Mexican holiday that honors and celebrates deceased loved ones. It is believed that on this day, the spirits of the dead return to visit their families. Families create altars with photos, candles, flowers, and offerings of food and drink to welcome their loved ones back. The holiday is a colorful and joyous occasion, filled with music, dancing, and parades.
