Wedding - Tropical Black Tie. Ladies, colorful long dresses. Gentleman, guayabera black tie encouraged or a traditional tux. Welcome Dinner - Upscale Beach Chic
Should you choose to wear guayabera black tie attire, wear white, long-sleeve guayabera shirt outside of black-tie trousers, dress shoes, and a black bow tie. The guayabera is originated in Cuba, with the name likely coming from the "guayaba" (guava) fruit, which the large pockets on the shirt were used to carry. It is considered a significant symbol of national culture and identity, representing a blend of elegance and practicality, characterized by its pleated front and back, multiple pockets, long sleeves, and linen or silk fabric; making it an ideal option for tropical climates.
