We first met back in 4th grade, but it was in our 8th grade English class that a true friendship began to bloom. Even through the years at different high schools, we stayed connected, always finding our way back to each other. After graduation, that friendship grew into something even more special, and in 2019, our love story officially began.

On a beautiful day in Kyoto, we strolled through the peaceful paths of Maruyama Garden. When we reached a quiet waterfall, he got down on one knee and asked the question that would change our lives. Through happy tears we said “yes” to forever.
