The Mehndi ceremony, similar to a bridal shower, brings together the bride's close relatives and friends to pamper her, share advice, and keep her company during the lengthy process. Female relatives can also have henna applied during this time. In Hindu weddings, henna is applied in intricate patterns to the bride’s hands, arms, and feet. Beyond its cooling effect to calm the bride, Mehndi is believed to bring luck, joy, and beauty. It is part of the Solah Shringar, the traditional sixteen bridal adornments that beautify the bride for her wedding.

The Grahshanti ceremony, held before the wedding, removes obstacles and invites happiness and prosperity by aligning the planets for a harmonious life together. The name comes from "grah" (house) and "shanti" (peace). A priest performs rituals at the bride and groom's homes, including a pooja to welcome Lord Ganesha. Next is the Haldi (Pithi) ceremony, where loved ones apply a turmeric paste to the couple. Known for its cleansing and antiseptic properties, turmeric symbolizes joy, prosperity, and new beginnings, while also protecting against negative energy. It’s a time for family and friends to gather and bless the couple.

Wood fired pizza, appetizers and drinks will be served. •••••• What is a sangeet? The Sangeet ceremony is a pre-wedding "welcome event" where family and friends perform choreographed dances for the couple. It includes traditional Gujarati folk dances, Garba and Raas, which are easy to learn, and we'll guide you! The night ends with an open dance floor and a DJ playing your favorite songs.

This is the beginning of the wedding! Please arrive between 2:30 and 3:00PM. •••••• What is a Baraat? The Baraat, or "groom's procession," is a joyful celebration where the groom and his family dance toward the bride’s family and ceremony site. It marks the groom's entrance to the wedding, with the ceremony following immediately after. All guests are invited to join the fun and help hype up Isaac as we dance and celebrate!

• Indian clothes or formal attire (recommend against outfits that are head to toe white)
Transportation to the ceremony: Uber and Lyft are easily available. Parking is available on-site and cars can be left overnight but must be picked up by 11AM Sunday morning (3/30). There will be a SHUTTLE at the END of the night to take guests back to the Oxford Suites and downtown Paso Robles. There will be a cocktail hour after the ceremony, followed by the reception. A vegetarian Indian dinner will be served at the reception.
