We’re getting married!

A little history… Isaac and I have actually known each other for quite some time. We hung around the same friend group in middle school. We actually went to dances together, but not together together. Lol. Fast forward to 2019, he just randomly requested me on Facebook. Obviously I accepted it. Lol. And he messaged me like right after I accepted his request. I believe it was that same night, we were like “let’s hang out”. I picked him up from his parent’s house and we went to Meijer in Rockford. We walked around there for a bit. Then when I dropped him off, I parked in front of his driveway and we were talking until about 2:30 in the morning. We got together on my mom’s birthday, February 13th, 2019. We were together for almost 2 years and then we had some differences in the beginning of 2021. And went our separate ways. We would message each other occasionally here and there. Happened all summer. But then, on Thanksgiving we hung out once again at the end of his parent’s driveway. Just talking about anything and everything. Complimenting how good one another looked. You know, that heart racing, minor anxiety attack encounter. 😂 Then December 10th of 2021 something very traumatic happened in my family. And all I wanted was Isaac. I called him on Facebook messenger but he didn’t answer me. 😔 So, I called my brother Eddie and he convinced me to come over to his house. After I got off the phone with Eddie, Isaac called me back! We talked the whole way over to Eddie’s house over the phone and even some when I pulled into the driveway. I let him go but we were still texting when I was at their house. I let Eddie and Kaylee know that I was talking to him again. And Kaylee had this great idea to invite Isaac over to their house. I told her “He’s not going to come” and she replied with “Maybe, but you never know unless you try.” Welp, I took my shot and had asked him. He actually said yes. Shows my future sister in law knows her stuff. 😉 Isaac got there and it felt right. He stayed the night that night and Kaylee took a picture of us sleeping on their couch. Lol. We got back together that night. We have had a bumpy past, but what relationship hasn’t. We pushed and worked through the hardships after that. We never gave up on each other. Fast forward to November 4th of 2023. It was a regular morning, I took the dogs out before I had to go to work and was doing my usual routine. I came back into the bedroom and Isaac was standing in front of the mirror fixing his hair. Honestly nothing out of the ordinary. 😂 We were hugging because the night before was a bad night for me. His heart was beating so fast and I asked him why. He said that he took a puff out of his vape and it might be the nicotine. My butt believed him. 🤦‍♀️ Lol. We were hugging and he said how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend his life with me. Again, nothing out of the ordinary. Then he looked at me and moved the hair out of my face. And said “Meagan Lydia Sweeney” then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him😩♥️…. I think. Honestly, I don’t even know, the second I saw him getting down on one knee, I bawled. 😂 Completely blacked out. I actually had to ask him later on that day if I put the ring on myself or if he did it….. Don’t worry, he did! We have both had the good, bad and ugly in our lives. And we will face it together as well. But if there is one thing I know for certain, it’s that we are meant to be together. We are best friends, lovers and absolute soul mates. ♥️
