Another home for Jesus!

One bright Sunday morning on the 30th day of October, 2022, I walked into Christ Life Church, Glen Burnie. The first thing that caught my attention was the handsome man wearing a purple Lacoste sweater singing in the midst of many women at the front of the church. After service, I decided to make an inquiry as to identity of that handsome looking gentleman and I made sure to ask if he was married or had kids haha 😂. I was told by a friend that he was very single. That revelation was the highlight of my day because it made me so excited. I decided to follow him on IG and of course who wouldn’t follow a fine girl back?🤷🏻‍♀️ Lol. So he started to slide into my DMs and we started speaking sporadically when he’d respond to my IG stories and vice versa. There was a time in May 2023 he invited me to have dinner with him, but he suddenly cancelled on me in the mid night because he wasn’t sure if I’d like him and didn’t want to risk being rejected. We stopped talking when he cancelled on me and quite frankly, I kind of hated him going forward. Then on the 16th of October 2023, which was the day after after he complimented me my outfit, I decided to take a bold step by asking him if he liked me because I could see him steal glances at me in church, respond to my stories, and try to greet me. I could see he was interested in my life or at least my wellbeing but I couldn’t ascertain where his headspace was at concerning the issue of having feelings for me. After I took the bold step to ask him if he liked me on the 16th of October 2023, he came out clean sending me lots of voice messages on IG that he liked me so much but he would need to know if we’re compatible, my expectations of a man, and my thoughts so that he doesn’t give his heart out to someone who would trash or break it. So we agreed to talk about everything. He came to pick me up to go to a park (BWI Park) where he asked me a host of questions he wrote down. Lol. (All those preliminary questions asked have really helped our relationship). From the 18th of October 2023 to November 10, 2023, we spoke everyday, through in person outings, FaceTime, and other means. It was so exciting and I got to learn so much about him and his life. I was fully invested in our conversations because they were lively. On the 11th day of November 2023, he took me to a restaurant where he popped the question if I’d be his girlfriend. We dated until we got engaged on the 20th of April 2024. Cheers to more years boo boo 🥂. I love you so so much ❤️

Okay where do I start 🤔 I remember coming to church one day and seeing a random new person in service in a nice green native dress. I also saw she came with my friend so I had to start my investigation😂. I asked some questions just to get some basic background information (is she single ??👀😂)We had a youth Friendsgiving coming up so Ofcourse I asked again if she was coming and was extremely happy when I found out she was. When we started playing games I made sure I was her partner and tried to be as funny as possible with her 😂. Luckily everything went well and I got her to laugh a couple times. Then during our youth convention, Of course I was once again very happy when I heard she was coming 😂. I made sure to talk to her and make her laugh again a couple times. I begged them to let me be on grill so I could ask her how the food was and annoy her regardless of her answer😂. Maybe she was sick but she claimed the chicken was spicy and was coughing but today we thank God today we know who the better cook is😌😉. Time went on with off and on messages through social media; I was just building up my courage to ask her out😂 Then one of my close friends told me to take her out and get to know her. I forever thank him till this day for that advice. As we got to know each other it was easy to lay out what we both wanted and worked through the opposing wants. I’ll forever love and remember all our long talks at one of my favorite parks, late nights after services, Popeyes😂. We learned about each others families, pasts, desired futures and ofcourse it got to the point where I had to make this beautiful blessing in my life mine 😭. I asked her to be my girlfriend and inevitably popped the question of asking her to be with me forever.
