The Beginning Isaac and Kennady go all the way back to kindergarten at Shiloh. They grew up attending the same small school and shared a friend group. It wasn’t until October 2019, at age 15, that Kennady made the first move and told Isaac she had feelings for him. Isaac felt the same way, and they realized they might be better off as more than just friends. Shortly after, they went on their first date to a movie and Cold Stone. Cold Stone ice cream dates have been a staple of their relationship ever since. The two dated all throughout high school and share countless memories from those years. The Foundation Before their first official date, Isaac and Kennady went on a drive to talk through things before jumping into a relationship. They talked about their expectations, why they were interested in each other, and their intention to date with marriage in mind. They also established the goal of keeping God at the center of their relationship. This has remained their foundation and will continue to guide them in marriage. College The two attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Kennady began nursing school, and discovered she had a passion for natural medicine. Isaac studied exercise science with plans to attend chiropractic school. Their shared interests led them to a common goal of helping people live healthier, disease-free lives. They share a dream of one day owning their own wellness clinic. The Proposal Isaac proposed to Kennady in August 2025 after a pontoon ride on the Missouri River. He parked the boat on a sandbar, walked her out to the spot, and popped the question. He chose that spot because they both grew up on the river and consider it one of their favorite places in the world. Our Prayer Our prayer is that our love models the kind of love described in 1 Corinthians 13. Specifically praying for our love to be patient, kind, humble, not self-seeking, slow to anger, and never failing. We pray that God remains at the center of our relationship and that our marriage will point back to him. We also pray that we will build a life together full of joy, peace, and never-ending faith.
