FAQs

Question

Dress Code

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to wear formal or semi-formal attire to celebrate with us. Temperature will range between 20º in the day to as low as 11º in the evening. Note: that the ceremony will be held on the lawn, so choose your footwear accordingly (the lawn isn't flat, so you may want your shoes to be!)

Question

Ceremony & Reception

Answer

The reception will be held at the same venue as the ceremony.

Question

Plus Ones

Answer

Our wedding will be a small, intimate celebration, and we’ve chosen to share the day with those closest to us. We kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation join us to celebrate.

Question

Children

Answer

We really wish to keep our wedding an adult-only ceberation, so we can only accommodate a few close family children at our wedding. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate children not specifically listed on the invitation. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.

Question

Arrival Time

Answer

Please plan to arrive before 3pm in preparation for the ceremony. We ask that guests begin to arrive at the ceremony and take their seats at 2.30-2.45pm, in preparation for a 3pm. ceremony. If you’re staying at the Lodge, we recommend arriving earlier to allow time for check-in.

Question

Food Allergies & Intolerances

Answer

Vegetarian options will be available for canapés, main meals, and sides. If you have any additional dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you.

Question

Photography

Answer

During the ceremony, we kindly request no personal photography, as we have arranged for a professional photographer to capture the ceremony. Please also keep phones on silent during the ceremony to help everyone enjoy the celebration. Photography is welcomed during cocktail hour and reception.

Question

Travelling to Bellingen

Answer

Bellingen is located approximately 4 hours north of Newcastle and 2 hours east of Armidale. We recommend driving to make the most of your journey and enjoy the scenic route, as it provides the easiest and most flexible way to reach the town as public transport options are limited. Note: Waterfall Way is subject to frequent closures due to landslides. Please ensure you have allotted enough travel time in case of roadworks or other road closures.

Question

Overnight Stay

Answer

We recommend staying at The Lodge (the venue) if possible, as it allows for easy access to and from the ceremony/reception (more information is available on the "where to stay" tab). If you are staying elsewhere in Bellingen, please note that transport options are limited as The Lodge is located along the highway, just outside of the town. However, taxi services are available in Bellingen.

Question

RSVP Details

Answer

You can RSVP using the "RSVP" tab at the top of this website. Please send us your acceptances or regrets by May 23rd, 2027.

Question

Gifts

Answer

Your presence is our greatest gift! But should you wish to contribute in some other way, there will be a wishing well at the reception.
