Isaac's Perspective: I had recently moved from Houston to Dallas, TX for work. One night, I went to a young adults service at Trinity Church with my roommate. It's there that I saw Chelsea pacing back and forth with her Bible in hand like the prayer warrior she is. I can’t even lie -- I was distracted by her beauty! She then went on stage to read a Bible scripture and I saw the lights shine on her. Something in my spirit immediately told me that she was the one. In that moment I looked at my roommate and said, "I’m going to marry her”. He laughed and said “yeah right!". I never really believed in love at first sight but mannnn was I a believer that day because I was so sure that she was the one for me. Over a year later we would travel, go on dates, win a powder puff championship game together, worship, play games, learn each other’s cultures, and be engaged. It has been the best time of my life being with Chelsea. She brings out the best in me with her cheerful spirit, goofy personality, and love for The Lord. I'm glad that I went to church on that particular Monday night. It forever changed my life. Chelsea's Perspective: Two years ago I was reading my Bible, serving constantly, drinking water, and minding my own business when out of nowhere this new guy shows up at my church's young adult service. I didn't notice him when he first started coming because our young adults group is pretty big, but I was leading 6am prayer on a Wednesday morning and that's where we had our first, short interaction. About a month after that, he slid into my dm's (after asking a mutual friend about me). He wasted no time and pursued me with great intention! We started texting, talking on the phone, hanging out, and then going on dates and we had the most fun! One of my favorite dates was our second date. :) We got pizza at a local spot (you could draw and write on the tables), went axe throwing, and then played Jenga while asking eachother questions to get to know one another on a deeper level. Two months after we started talking, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I sought The Lord throughout our entire process (and I still do). One year and three months after he asked me to be his girlfriend, he proposed. Our journey has been filled with great joys, challenges, and a lot of growth and healing, but I'm so grateful that I get to walk through it all with my best friend. Isaac is intentional, determined, hardworking, caring, and so much more! I wouldn't want to be plowing forward and pioneering with anyone else! There's so much more to our story, but here's one thing I know -- God is faithful!
