It all started in the halls of Joliet Catholic Academy. We became great friends over the years and even had a crush on each other. Although we never dated, we always knew there was something special between us. With only weeks before leaving for Freshman year of college, Isaac convieniently found the courage to tell Julia how he felt. And it just so happened that she felt the same. We spent the next 4 years of college at different schools, but driving the 2.5 hours to see each other whenever possible. We share so many fun college memories together including writing letters, barn dances, Facetimes, and bar crawls. After the longest 4 years, we finally ended up back in the same town to go to graduate school. While in graduate school at the same time and for the same degree, we spent our weekends in the libraries and coffee shops sharing books and study guides. Together, we spent almost 7 years of study dates, road trips, long hikes, campfires, and lots of wine. We can't wait for the rest of our life together!

We planned a long weekend getaway to Asheville, North Carolina to celebrate Isaac finishing graduate school. This weekend was filled with breweries, hiking, and beautiful views. Julia had no idea what was coming! After a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, we went for a hike to a scenic overlook at the top of a mountain. Isaac convinced Julia to hike off the trail to a cliff for a "picture". On the cliff, overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains, Isaac got down on one knee. Julia said YES!
