This is a super cool historic town located along the waterfront. If you stop by, take a trip to some of Isaac and Brooklyn's staples; hop on the boardwalk and take a jaunt to Boulevard Park, visit Avenue Bread for breakfast or brunch (this is the post-church brunch spot), stop into Village Books, or Fairhaven Runners, a great local running shop supplying the couple with many pairs of shoes.

If you are looking for good Washington coffee, take a trip to any of these shops: Hammerhead Coffee Roasters, Lakeline, a coffee shop on the Northshore of Lake Whatcom, Cafe Blue in Fairhaven, and Makeworth Coffee Roasters in downtown Bellingham.

- Ovn, if you care to take a trip down memory lane to Brooklyn and Isaac’s first date, check out this delicious restaurant with authentic wood-fired pizza made in a pizza oven imported from Italy. We highly recommend the kale Caesar, the margarita pizza, and the potato pizza - Sweet Bay Cafe, Great breakfast stop for coffee and a bite to eat. Brooklyn's go-to is the California Scramble - Bellingham Cider Company, A great place for both indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy a meal and a delicious cider - Bantr, check this place out for the best breakfast burrito in town - Snow Goose Produce, do you love ice cream as much as we do? Go to one of Brooklyns hidden gems and get a ice cream cone as big as your face (1 scoop is enough) - Lafeen’s Family Doughnuts, don’t shy away from the outside appearance, the doughnuts are delicious!

Take a trip to the beautiful Mount Baker for the sights or some hiking Easy Hikes: - Picture Lake, 0.6 Miles (round trip). Easy loop around the most photographed lake in WA - Bagley Lakes, 2.2 Miles (loop). Great views of the Alpine lake and mountains. Medium Hikes: - Chain Lakes, 6.2 Miles (Loop) and 1,791 Elev Gain - Lake Ann, 8.2 Miles (round trip) and 2,150 Elev Gain Hard Hikes: - Excelsior Pass, 7.8 miles (round trip) and 3600 Elev Gain (1st 4 Miles)

Larrabee State Park

Located along the waterfront, Larabee has hiking trails (check out Fragrance Lake trail), the ocean, try paddle boarding or take a swim, and lots of wildlife, sometimes you get a glimpse of seals or sea otters out for a swim. Fun fact: this is where Isaac and Brooklyn had their first date, and it's the location of Isaac's proposal!

This one is too good not to see. Located right in Brooklyn's backyard, this park has several connected trail systems. Visit the Iconic Falls.

Take a trip to this small Dutch town. Visit the Lynden Dutch Bakery for a pastry and walk around this iconic town, see a windmill or two.

Check out this unique place, an outdoor bike pump track park full of shipping containers built out as breweries and restaurants. There is a biking pump track where you can ride, rent bikes, or just observe while sipping a beer. This place is one you have to experience to understand. There is always something going on at this spot; outdoor concerts, yoga nights in the park, just check it out for yourself.

Visit any of the San Juans! These beautiful islands have lots to offer. Go whale watching and spot some Orcas on your way.

Leavenworth

This one is a bit of a drive at 2.5 hours from Bellingham, east over the mountain pass. It's 100% worth it if you are up for it! This is a totally German town that in the wintertime feels like a hallmark Christmas movie, and in summer it's still just as festive. It's an absolute must-see in your lifetime, kind of spot.

Visit the iconic city, see the Space Needle, walk around Lake Union, take a boat ride on Lake Washington, or take a private hot tub boat trip with a group of people to explore the waters where Brooklyn spent her time rowing in college. Visit the University of Washington if you are looking for good shopping, check out U Village, an upscale outdoor mall located on the university.

- Marine Park, perfect spot to watch the. sunset over the ocean. - Hovander Homestead Park, a great place to walk around and smell some flowers. - Cornwall Park, grab your midrange and go disk golfing! - Fairhaven Park, great place to take the kids to burn off some energy. - Big Rock Garden Park, a quaint, gated Japanese-style garden to walk around and explore beautiful plants and sculptures. Heads up, they have open and closed hours. - Silverbeach Elementary School’s playground has a great gated neighborhood playground to take the kids.

Canada

If you’re up for some international travel, bring your passport and take a 35–40 minute drive north to Canada. Visit the big city of Vancouver and explore Stanley Park, or stay closer to the border in the town of White Rock. If you drive about three hours farther, you’ll reach Whistler, the host of the 2010 Olympic Games. This is where Isaac and Brooklyn ski in the winter, and the mountain becomes a great spot for hiking, gondola rides, and mountain biking in the summer.
