Where our story begins is a topic of debate. If you ask Isa, she would say when Colin would give her nightly sign out in the hospital. But if you ask Colin, he would tell you it was months earlier during orientation for residency. Soon after we worked together as co-interns in the burn unit where we first became close. A few months later, Colin mustered up the courage to invite her on their first date. Pretty quickly they went from consulting each other in the operating room to rescuing a dog together, and the rest is history!

When Isa's parents came to visit in September, Colin seized the opportunity to ask for their blessing. From there, the planning began to coordinate both families coming into Dallas to surprise Isa. If you know Isa, you know keeping secrets from her is close to impossible. While she quickly caught on to his plans, she pretended to have no idea because she knew how much he liked to surprise her. When the day finally came, their families met them at the Dallas Arboretum where Colin got down on one knee.
