As many of you may know, Caroline’s roots in North Carolina run very deep, and while her parents grew up about 3 hours east of Linville, Grandfather Mountain holds a special place in everyone’s hearts. Caroline has been coming to Grandfather to visit her aunt and uncle for truly her whole life whether it was weeks in the summer or snowy Christmases. Jean Bradsher Scott, Caroline's maternal grandmother, graduated from Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk in 1943, and it was one of her favorite places on Earth. It means so much to us that we will be getting married in an area that meant so much to her. After Matt proposed, we spent a week in August at Grandfather and after returning to New York it was clear that Matt had fallen in love with it too. We can’t wait to show you this area of the Blue Ridge mountains that means so much to us and hope you enjoy your time here!
