Flight

Denver International Airport or Eagle County Regional Airport

If you're flying from anywhere in the U.S. to Colorado for our wedding, you have two airport options: Denver International Airport (DIA) or Eagle County Regional Airport. Denver International Airport (DIA) is a major hub with flights from all major U.S. cities. Located on the east side of Denver, it’s approximately 120 miles from Vail. We recommend renting a car to drive west on I-70—consider stopping in downtown Denver or Golden along the way—or booking a shuttle from DIA to Vail Village in advance (about $80 per person). Eagle County Regional Airport is a smaller airport located just 30 miles west of Vail. If you fly into Eagle, we recommend using Uber or Lyft, or pre-booking a shuttle to Vail Village (about $50 per person). 😄

Hotel

Accomodation

Vail is a charming and picturesque town, and we highly recommend staying in town to fully experience everything it has to offer. Most of the wedding activities are centered around Vail Village, though Lionshead and Golden Peak are also within easy walking distance. The town offers a free shuttle service that runs every 10–15 minutes (depending on the time of day) from 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM, making it easy to get around without a car. There are plenty of Airbnb and Vrbo options in town, starting at approximately $200/night for two guests. If you’re considering hotels, here are a few of our favorites: • The Sonnenalp (starting at ~$450/night for a room)
An iconic Vail property, the Sonnenalp is a favorite of Megan & Lucas. It offers the best breakfast in town and recently received a Michelin Key in the first-ever Michelin hotel guide. This is also where the Bride & Groom will spend their first married night!
(https://sonnenalp.com) • The Lodge at Vail (starting at ~$350/night for a room)
Built as Vail’s first hotel, the Lodge is located in the heart of Vail Village, right next to Gondola One. This is a good option for families looking for lodging with multiple rooms & kitchen. (https://www.vail.com/plan-your-trip/stay/lodge-at-vail.aspx) • Austria Haus (starting at ~$380/night for a room) Located steps away from the Vail Transportation Center. (https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/colorado/austria-haus/denda) • Evergreen Lodge at Vail (starting at ~$200/night for a room)
Easy access to both Vail Village or Lionshead from the hotel. (https://evergreenvail.com) There are also plenty of options around Eagle County. If staying outside of Vail, check for shuttle options to the village on the Discover Vail website (https://discovervail.com/getting-around-vail/) or plan to drive and park at the Vail Transportation Center (note: parking fees may apply before 3:00 PM). We hope you enjoy your stay in our favorite town in the World!

For all the days along the way
