One thing Katie and Mason both have a passion for is serving the Lord, and that’s exactly how we met! God made sure we both had a free day to volunteer with Fostering Hope, an organization that our church partners with, and we met on a random Thursday afternoon, serving our community together. We chatted about volleyball and homeschooling and all kinds of things, and Katie tried to make a move by asking if Mason needed a ride home (he did not). Later that afternoon, Mason reached out through WhatsApp with a great opener about Fabuloso… that fell on deaf ears because Katie had WhatsApp notifications turned off. But Mason prevailed and copied her number and texted her the next evening. After that they texted all weekend, and their first date was a week to the day after they met! After that the rest is history. Many games of Minecraft, takeouts from MJ Teriyaki, adventures to scenic places, and lots of laughter has brought us to today, when we’re so excited to do it all together for the rest of our lives. We thank God for bringing us together and can’t wait to see how He uses our marriage to bless those around us!
