Darlene is one of the first cousins of Michele; however, since she was born Michele fell in love and became facinated with this beautiful bundle and immediately considered her more than a cousin but more of a "Cuz- Daughter". Darlene was born when Michele was a senior in high school. These two would spend weekends together and became very close. Even when Michele went away to college, Darlene would come along at times even spending the night in the dorm for days at a time. Michele is grateful that her parents entrusted her to care for Darlene as the two grew up together. Darlene later chose to attend that same college where she spent some of her early years with Michele. She had always been adored by Michele and now John has embraced and loves her as well.
Maci and Mackenzie

Maci and Mackenzie are the only nieces of Michele. They are beautiful, intelligent, talented and full of personality. From the time that they entered the world, they have held a very special place in Michele's heart. They are affectionately known as "Auntie's Big Girls'". Unsurprisingly, they have developed a relationship with "Uncle John" who can be a big kid at times and they always look forward to his magic tricks and jokes that keep them laughing. I feel so blessed to hold the title of their aunt and look forward to watching them grow into the remarkable women that they are destined to become. John is very excited to officially become a new uncle to more nieces and have an extended audience that can appreciate his silly acts and allow him to embrace his inner child.
