Offer all kinds of outdoor activities to fully experience the amazing region around Camogli and Portofino - examples include guided kayak tours, orienteering, bike rental, snorkeling, SUP (stand up paddle board), and more...
Camogli is a starting point for some amazing hiking trails through the promontory of Portofino. Varying levels of difficulty. A couple favorites are to start in Camogli and head up to San Rocco (a fairly steep climb up neverending stairs, but otherwise not difficult), then down through the beautiful old Romanesque church of San Nicolo' all the way to Porto Pidocchio and Punta Chiappa. Or from San Rocco, head down to San Fruttuoso. On the way, stop for a breath, a beautiful panorama, and some refreshments at Agririfugio Molini.
Catch a train to Framura, where you can rent a bike and ride along this recently renovated 6 km bike path that goes through old railway tunnels to the town of Levanto. The tunnels are long and can get very cool, even in the height of summer, so bring a sweater just in case. Just past Framura, lock up your bike and head down to the beautiful beach of Porto Pidocchio. You won't want to miss it.
One of the most famous and most beautiful places in Italy - definitely worth a visit, especially if you like to hike as you can walk from one village to the next. The walks start from very easy and get progressively more challenging after each village. Can be crowded during peak tourist seasons.
