FAQs

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is 6/30/2026. Please make sure to RSVP for both the ceremony and the reception. You are not required to attend both, though we would love to have you at each, but we do need a headcount for both events.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the church by 11:45 AM so you have time to get settled before the ceremony begins at noon. For the reception, please plan to arrive starting at 4:30 PM.

Question

Is the Ceremony and Reception at the Same Place?

Answer

No, the ceremony is in Durham and the reception is in Salisbury. The drive from the church to the reception venue is roughly an hour and 40 minutes, mostly highway. We know it's a long day, so please plan your travel time and meals accordingly!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire! For men, a suit is perfect, and for women, a cocktail dress or dressy separates are great options.

Question

Are there hotel room blocks reserved?

Answer

We did not reserve a hotel block, but we have some suggestions on the Travel page to help get you started. You're also welcome to book your own hotel or Airbnb — most options will be about 15 minutes from the venue. We recommend booking sooner rather than later, especially for houses, as the area is a lake destination and vacation rentals tend to go quickly!

Question

Where are we registered?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere and no gift is required, your presence is more than enough! If you'd like to give a gift, cash or checks are appreciated and will go toward our house and honeymoon funds.

Question

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors. The reception will be indoors, but there is an outdoor space that people can use as desired.
