We have many people staying on site, which is so wonderful! Because means vary, we have made costs a sliding scale. Please pay what you can! Suggested cost is between $50 and $100 per person per night with kids under 3 years old staying for free! You can pay the weekend of via cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, or probably even some other method we can arrange! If you would like to pay ahead of time, please contact Irene.
For $10 you can rent (from the camp) all of your bedding needs! You get a pillow, sheets, a sleeping bag, two blankets, a beach towel, and a bath towel! We highly recommend doing this! Please do not try to pay us, however. This money has to go to the camp director, who will be on site the weekend-of.
No problem! Come and go as you please! You are still welcome to all events. Just please drive safely!
The camp is only minutes form a hardware store, a grocery store, a liquor store, etc. While we will be in the woods, the town of Meredith is quite populated and has restaurants and other amenities you may need.
The camp has a lake front where kids can swim and play. There are kayaks and canoes (and life jackets!). A lifeguard will be on duty from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday. There will be lawn games and indoor games. There are some climbing structures we are allowed to use that are suitable for kids of most ages. There is a sports field. There are tennis courts (please bring your own rackets). If you think your child may want to visit a playground or take a boat ride on lake Winnipesaukee, please look into amenities available in Meredith, NH. Nearby towns with great attractions include Laconia and Tilton.
We are certainly hoping for good weather, but one never knows! In New Hampshire September evenings can get chilly. Please plan for warm weather in the day and cool weather (60's) in the evening.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks will be provided for the whole weekend. If you are arriving on Friday night, please plan to eat dinner before you arrive at camp. We will not be serving a full meal but will have snacks and drinks available. We will have breakfast and lunch - continental/buffet-style - on Saturday and Sunday. You can expect a variety of bagels, spreads, toast, yogurt, granola, cereal and milk, tea and coffee for breakfast, and sandwiches for lunch. We are accounting for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free needs, as well as all major allergies. If you are concerned about having enough to eat, please contact Irene. Dinner on Saturday and Sunday (the rehearsal dinner and reception dinner, respectively) will be special, and we don't want to spoil any surprises! There are also two grocery stores and a liquor store within 10 minutes drive of the camp.
First and foremost, every guest at the wedding will be vaccinated. This is a non-negotiable. If you are feeling extra nervous, please get boosted a few weeks before the wedding. Will, Irene, and their families all plan to! Please test negative before coming and bring a rapid test with you if you can. We will have some rapid tests available but not enough to cover everyone. If someone was to show symptoms or test positive while at the wedding, we have extra cabins where we can house them away from others. Many events will be outdoors and those that are indoors are well ventilated. We are not asking people to mask at the wedding but you can if you so choose. We are doing everything that is within our power to ensure your safety but we recognize that nothing is 100% safe right now. We appreciate you taking measured risk to celebrate with us but we understand that some people may ultimately choose not to attend if COVID numbers look particularly bad closer to September. You will be with us in spirit!
We will miss you, and thank you so much for your thoughtfulness! You can send a check made out to either of us to 115 Lincoln Street Holyoke, MA 01040. We appreciate you!
Many of our friends and loved ones have pooches, and we know how difficult and costly it can be to find care for them when we aren't around. So in hopes of making this wedding as accessible as possible AND because we love dogs, your pooches are welcome! If you are staying on site your dog should be on leash at all times unless you are on a hike, on the field, or by the lake. If they are off leash they should have good recall. Other dogs will be there, so keep that in mind! Our dog will likely be locked up for most of the weekend in our cabin because she is anxious. Yours can be in your cabin too if that's what is best for your pup. Dogs are not welcome at the wedding ceremony or the reception dinner.
