Irene had just returned from an Army deployment to Eastern Europe, when she began her new position at the Army Headquarters, and met Hector. Hector became the funny guy at work Irene enjoyed talking to, and Irene was a classic beauty Hector was drawn to. Irene tried to maintain a professional relationship while Hector casually flirted at work. She secretly hoped he would “get the idea” and abstain from asking her out. Before she knew it, Hector charmed her and she was smitten. Hector took Irene on a memorable first date where they had a candle-lit diner at a live cabaret show. They’ve been inseparable ever since. So Irene put him to the test and taught Hector how to ski, asked him to climb mountains, and took him on long hikes because she’s a sucker for a good picture (iykyk). Hector and Irene will welcome Javier (Hector’s 9 year old son) to live with them in Germany starting this summer. Next year, they both expect to leave the Army and seek civilian employment in Europe. Family is their priority, so relocation is also an option, and starting their own is on the agenda…
