FAQs

If you have questions other than what we listed here, please feel reach out to us.
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Lower Garden Gate Entry opens at 5 PM - Please do not arrive earlier than this as the venue will not be open yet. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM. We kindly request everyone arrive by 5:15 PM to be seated on time for the ceremony. Please feel free to enjoy the Lower Gardens before the start of the ceremony.

Question

Is there parking for the venue?

Answer

Our venue for the ceremony and reception is the Lower Garden of the Japanese Friendship Garden. The "Gold Gulch Parking Lot" is a small parking lot with 27 spots located 450 feet away (2-3 minute walk) from the entrance of the Lower Garden. Guests can also be dropped off right at the entry gate as there is a small turn around large enough for regular sized cars to turn around in. Uber and Lyft are also widely available in San Diego. There are also several public parking lots in Balboa Park where our venue is located. Question

Will there be dietary accommodations?

Answer

There will be several different tasting stations as we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to try different foods! We will have several different entree options (vegetarian, meat, and fish) as well as several different sides and salads.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No formal dress code. The ceremony and parts of the reception will be outdoors with springtime San Diego temps ranging in the low-high 60s.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly request your reply via the "RSVP" tab of our wedding website by March 30th, 2022. Direct Link to RSVP: https://www.zola.com/wedding/ireneandben2022/rsvp

Question

Will there be photos taken during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask everyone silence their phones and refrain from taking photos during the wedding ceremony. We have a professional photographer on hand to capture all the special moments and are excited to share their photos with you. Please sit back and enjoy the ceremony!

Question

What COVID-19 safety measures will be taken on our wedding day?

Answer

Because each of you are precious to us, we are respectfully requesting all our guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 so we can party all night safely together. The health of each of you is what matters most to us! The ceremony will be outdoors as well as an indoor-outdoor reception. We will also have face masks and hand sanitizer available.
