We met at a Gathering at the Garden retreat in Big Bear, California. It was that weekend where we got to know each other. We didn't think much of it at the moment but everyone else around us saw the spark amongst us. We were inseparable that weekend and would stay up talking for hours about work, life, and God. After the retreat was over that's when we realized a bond had formed. I personally couldn't get Andrew out of my mind, as cliché as it sounds, it was a feeling I hadn't felt. It was a mutual feeling because Andrew sent me a message through our work chat and we started talking shortly after. It was early on in our relationship where we knew that God had put us in each other's lives to not only date but to get married one day. When Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend he asked me if I wanted to be his "Pre-Wife" because being his girlfriend was only going to be for a short while.
Andrew proposed to me on our 1 year anniversary May, 8th, 2019. He did a great job at keeping it a surprise because I had no idea. Since our 1 year anniversary fell on a Wednesday it was a day that we had mid-week service at church. We had agreed that we were going to celebrate our anniversary on the weekend, so I didn't think much of the day. The day was like any other typical Wednesday, we were in the office working and later on that night we would attend church. During service it was time for testimonies and Andrew went up to give his testimony. In that moment I still had no idea because it wasn't unusual for him to give a testimony, but as soon as I was hearing his testimony and he was talking about being thankful to God for my life, that is when it hit me and I thought to myself "Is he about to do what I think he's about to do?! Of course, it was exactly what I thought! After his heartwarming testimony, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course I said "YES"!
