From Club Nights to Heartbeats: It all started by pure chance—or perhaps by divine intervention. Let’s not get into how many years ago that was (the number might scare us a bit), but those who know, know. What began as a playful encounter soon turned into something far more meaningful. Andrea was the undisputed king of club initiatives, running events with the precision of a maestro. Meanwhile, Irene was the queen of carefree fun, casually popping into the club with her friends, just for the laughs and good times. Andrea, ever the strategist, began showing up more frequently around Irene’s group. At first, Irene thought he was just trying to boost the club’s popularity—after all, who wouldn’t want a bit more buzz? But as Andrea's “coincidental” appearances became a regular thing, Irene started to suspect that his interest was more than just a quest for higher attendance. What began as a series of cleverly orchestrated “chance” meetings soon turned into something far more thrilling. And just like that, a playful encounter in the club transformed into a story neither of us had anticipated but both of us couldn’t resist. The First "Real" Date: We’ll never forget our first official date. Picture this: pizza and marshmallows, a gourmet combo handpicked by Andrea. Sure, it might not be Michelin-starred, but in those days, everything tasted amazing when our stomachs were full of butterflies. The Long-Distance Adventure: Those early days of dating in our hometown of Alessandria didn’t last long. Life had other plans, and our youth nudged us towards big decisions about our education. Before we knew it, we were jet-setting around the globe, navigating a long-distance relationship that took us to Switzerland, Singapore, China, the UK, and Luxembourg. Naturally, while Irene was in one country, Andrea was in another—because why make it easy, right? Despite the miles between us, we were each other’s biggest cheerleaders, always pushing one another to be our best selves. This unwavering support made our love stronger and helped us celebrate numerous important milestones together, even from afar. We’re still amazed that we survived those years of Sunday evening goodbyes and marathon video calls, each one a testament to our commitment and the joy of planning our next reunion. Finding Our Way Home: As we wrapped up our studies and took our first steps into the working world, we realized it was high time to close the gap and—finally—live in the same country! After a few relocations, countless discussions, a dash of luck, and the right job opportunities, we both found our way to Zurich. Today, we’re happy to call this beautiful city our home. The Traveling Duo: For those who know us well, it’s no surprise that our love has only grown stronger through our shared passion for traveling. With a mix of courage and enthusiasm, we’ve teamed up to experience unforgettable moments, often bringing friends along for the ride. Just to name a few of our adventures from the past few years: we’ve explored the Seychelles, the Maldives, Thailand, Jordan, Mauritius, Egypt, Greece, China... and we hope this list will only keep growing in the years to come. The Proposal: During a cozy trip to the mountains in December 2023, Andrea made the brave decision to propose. It was a totally ordinary morning; we were busy tidying up the holiday apartment, making sure everything was set for the days ahead. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. “Something’s been delivered for you,” Andrea said with a smile. Irene, expecting a parcel or maybe the neighbour, was instead greeted with the surprise of a lifetime. Cue the happy tears, the laughter, and the excitement—because in that moment, the first "yes" was joyfully shouted, and our epic love story was officially headed for the ultimate chapter: our wedding!
