James and I were introduced in January of 2022, thanks to two wonderful friends—Emily, one of my bridesmaids, and Chris, one of James’s groomsmen—who each insisted they knew someone we had to meet. After a few weeks of talking and texting, we finally went on a blind date to Mojave Cantina in Clawson, MI. Since then, our lives have been full of shared adventures. Whether we’re spending the day at a music festival, catching a concert, disc golfing, exploring the outdoors in parks, or simply enjoying a quiet evening watching football at home, we’re happiest in each other’s company. Never far from us and deserving of a shoutout is our cat, Nutmeg—equal parts sidekick, referee, and cuddle buddy—who’s been a cozy part of our life together from the start. We’re soo excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who’ve supported and encouraged us. Our story might not involve glass slippers or enchanted forests, but it’s ours—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. What we’ve built together is rooted in laughter, trust, and unwavering love.
