Our Story We met at a Mardi Gras Ball in Colorado — in a season when life was shifting and neither of us knew what the next chapter would hold. What began as a simple introduction became long conversations, shared laughter, and a quiet curiosity about what this could be. Even with a move from Colorado to Rhode Island ahead, we didn’t rush or retreat. We showed up. Visits became intentional. Time at the girls’ basketball games and dance recitals became sacred. Somewhere between travel and time zones, something steady began to grow. Our families didn’t just meet — they fit. We fell in love not out of urgency, but out of peace — and the inevitable trust that when you pray, God answers. In our forties, we chose each other with clarity. Through relocation, loss, rebuilding, and hope, we found balance. Where one of us is structured and driven, the other brings lightness and joy.
