Téa is Kayla’s second oldest niece and closest friend. Téa and Kayla have grown extremely close since being teenagers, when Téa spent an entire summer at Kayla’s house, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Despite living an hour and a half away from each other, Kayla and Téa talk every single day. They share their love of art and education. Téa loves and does everything with such passion. Regardless of whether it’s a person, a job or a very strong opinion - she shows she cares so much which is exactly why Kayla knew she would be the perfect woman to be Maid of Honor.

Chad is James’ older brother. Chad has been one of the most reliable people to be there for James when he needs it the most. Chad encourages James to try new things starting from when they were children and James would watch his big brother play video games, and how he taught him how to ride a skateboard. Chad likes to make sure everyone is always having a great time and is undeniably always there for James, which is exactly why he felt Chad would be the perfect fit as best man.

Jazzmyn Commodore

Jazzmyn is not only Kayla’s future sister-in-law, but also one of her dearest friends. From the moment they met, Jazzmyn welcomed Kayla into the family with open arms and made me feel right at home! We’ve since shared plenty of craft sessions, iced coffees and is the bridesmaid you’ll see most in Kayla’s travel albums. Jazzmyn has an infectious laugh and can always crack Kayla and James up with her silly jokes. Kayla’s favorite memory of Jazzmyn is actually when she asked her to be her bridesmaid, on Jazzmyn’s 16th birthday. Jazzmyn was so emotional, she had the whole room in tears!

Mark and James were destined to be best friends, their friendship began even before they were born, as their mothers were best friends in high school. One of James’ favorite memories of their childhood is Mark and James wrestling in Mark’s living room all the time. Mark is James’ most loyal friend, as they have never encountered an argument between them. Their friendship has remained strong throughout so many years, that it has passed down to their children, which is now a three-generational friendship.

Nia is the oldest of Kayla’s nieces. Nia has always loved to tell people how she was older than her aunt. Nia and Kayla shared their closest bond as children, where they shared their love of Barbie dolls and make up. Kayla looked up to Nia as a child, and they often dressed alike! Nia’s confidence and social butterfly personality has her making friends left and right. And with her moves, Kayla has no doubt that Nia will be the first one on the dance floor at the wedding!

James met Cliff when he was five years old. Cliff is by far the funniest of the group, and loves to make everyone laugh. Cliff and James bond over sports a lot, even when their (very strong) opinions are very different. Some of James’ favorite childhood memories is tossing football in the street with Cliff. But his all time favorite memory with Cliff, is when they were at Cliff’s house, and Cliff was teasing his mom by flicking a lighter to aggravate her (as usual - but always out of love), and his mom’s hair went up in flames! Cliff began to panic and tried to pat the fire out. Cliff’s mom was so angry with him for “smacking her” because she didn’t realize she was on fire, so she beat him with a flip flop as Cliff was dying laughing!

Kayla is Ciara’s aunt but she has always considered her to be the little sister she never had. Kayla loves to share secrets with Ciara, as they both know all of the family gossip. Some of Kayla’s favorite memories with Ciara are the photos and videos they took on her laptop, the songs they wrote and the countless sleepovers. Ciara has been one of the most supportive people in Kayla’s life. Ciara cried (tears of joy) more than Kayla when she found out Kayla was pregnant with Ariel!

Fred and James attended high school together. Fred always has positive energy when going into any situation and is definitely the party-starter. Some of James’ and Fred’s best memories come from the new experiences they shared and parties they went to together. Fun fact: Fred was with James when they attended a party & hung out with Kayla for the first time!

Cynnae Rickman

Cynnae is another one of Kayla’s nieces. Kayla has always thought of Cynnae as her “mini-me”, because just like Kayla - she isn’t afraid to speak her mind or show off her attitude. Kayla and Cynnae are both most definitely known for being the diva’s of the family. Kayla’s favorite memory with Cynnae is when she got to help coach her in youth league cheerleading where Cynnae’s team won third place. Kayla is most excited to grow closer to Cynnae throughout the wedding festivities.

James and Mikey have known each other for almost twenty-five years. Mikey is Cliff’s nephew, so James has known him for as long as he knew Cliff. In high school, James’ favorite pastime was to hang out at Mikey’s house - you know it’s a true friendship when you could sit around and do absolutely nothing together and still have a great time. Mikey is the smartest in the group, and James’ really values his opinion and insight. James considers Mikey to be one of his closest friends.

Taylor Bickers

Taylor and Kayla have been friends since elementary school. They attended middle school, high school, and college together. Later, they went on to have their baby girls a month and a day apart. Taylor and Kayla are partner’s in crime - both literally and figuratively! Taylor has always reminded Kayla to look on the bright side. She finds the funny parts of bad situations. Kayla and Taylor shared their strongest moments together during their late-night drives and adventures they took after high school. One of Kayla’s favorite memories with Taylor is their vacation to Gatlinburg, TN, where they spent most of the time in the hot tub and snuck off to get matching tattoos! Fun Fact: Taylor was with Kayla when they attended a party together where they hung out with James for the first time!

Devon and James met in kindergarten and were consistently in the same classes throughout their school days which worked out great since they were best friends since day one. Devon and James shared their bond during school and when they played Freshman basketball together. Devon is one of the most genuinely nice and thoughtful people you’ll ever meet. Fun Fact: Devon and Kayla have only actually met twice! (Both times in a Big Lots!)

Sarah Harding

Sarah is Kayla's oldest friend, they have been friends since preschool. In high school, Sarah always motivated Kayla to be the best version of herself that she could be. Sarah has always worked hard for what she wants and her ambition truly rubbed off on Kayla. Sarah is one of the most loyal people Kayla’s knows and despite drifting apart after high school, Kayla knows she can always depend on Sarah to be there. Some of Kayla's favorite memories involving Sarah is when they cheered on the junior varsity and varsity teams together. Kayla is looking forward to being out on the dance floor with Sarah, just like old times.

James met Price when they were playing recreational basketball at the stadium. Over the last few years, James and Price have been on competitive basketball teams together. James won his first basketball tournament with Price on his team. Price is extremely reliable and trustworthy. Price has always been an authentic, dependable friend to James.
