Ioannhs asked me to marry him on 9/22/2018 at the Angel Oak Tree on Johns Island just outside of Charleston, SC. The angel oak is estimated to be over 400 years old and the oldest living thing east of the Mississippi River. He chose this spot not only for its beauty but that it was the perfect fit for our relationship; strong, enduring, constantly growing and built to last. Turning around to see him down on one knee was the happiest moment of my life, I was so shocked my hands were shaking until he made me laugh about how to put the ring on my finger since the diamond is a pear shape. I look forward to spending every day of forever with the most amazing man!
We want our wedding to be a huge celebration filled with love, laughter, dancing and booze! We are getting married at Eagle Manor; a beautifully rustic event space that includes a little bit of everything that we are looking for. We will be married on the back lawn of the Manor House facing the Cohansey River against the beautiful tree lined estate. After the ceremony we are hosting a cocktail hour at the adjacent river deck and boat house on the property followed by dinner and dancing in their gorgeous twinkle light lined white barn. We want everyone to come dressed cute but still comfortable; and prepared for dancing! (flats are highly recommended for this venue!) After a night filled with love and laughter, we would like for everyone who can to stay for our after party which will be a bonfire under the stars on the property.
We are still celebrating our wedding as planned on 10/3/2020! We are changing some details throughout the day to keep everyone safe & healthy. If at anytime the governor changes regulations and we are forced to reschedule then we will contact you. For now please RSVP as usual! ❤️
