While theoretically an option, keep in mind you'll likely need to get up really early the morning of to take an approximately 75-minute train ride between the two cities. The civil ceremony time is confirmed for 10:30 AM on Friday, Aug. 1 and will last just 5-15 minutes -- very short and sweet!
Short Answer: "Smart Casual". The colors are dark navy and "sand" (darker than Obama's tan suit but lighter than Kamala's brown suit). We'll be in nice denim jeans, dress shoes, blazers/coats, and ties. Light layers would probably work best given it'll be summer in semi-formal venues. Skip the athletic wear, but do consider comfortable shoes.
The ceremony will be in English, but Seth's vows to Jae will be in his native language of Korean. Denmark is a relatively English-friendly country.
Guests will be included in WhatsApp group(s) prior to arrival. If you have any questions, text Seth!
The reception following the ceremony is on us! Given the various timings of the departures after the wedding, The Farewell Brunch is considered an unofficial send off event, so meals won't be covered then--appreciate your understanding.
We'll have to wait and see how much both the reception venue and the after party spot will allow for an on consumption/open bar situation--no promises yet.
Summer is high season for tourism in Denmark so unfortunately hotels in the village have not made room blocks available -- please book accomodation ASAP!
The wedding ceremony venue (city hall), the train station, and two hotels are all within 1-10 minutes of each other on foot. Walking to the Krongborg Slot (castle) from city-center takes a bit longer, but not by much (20 mins).
