Shawn and Chloe met back in the summer of 2021 at a mutual friend’s house and quickly became close friends themselves in the months to come. They attended bible study and college group at Morningside Church together, which is where Shawn says he was drawn to Chloe’s insight on spiritual things while Chloe found the honest curiosity and eagerness of Shawn’s new found faith to be something beautiful to watch grow. Soon the pair began talking everyday, bonding initially over their taste in music, and later in both the similarities and differences in how they each grew up. One night in August of 2022 at a friend’s house, they both got up the courage to talk about the possibility of being more than just friends… and the rest is history! Over the years, Shawn and Chloe have come to love spending time getting to know each other’s worlds and merging both of them into one. Whether it be showing each other more new music, spending time with their three nephews and family, or recounting their best childhood stories and memories to one another, these two are beyond excited to fulfill God’s design for their future hand in hand! A bible passage that has stuck with them through the ups and downs of the past four years is the story of God making provision for the Israelites while they were stranded in the desert. Exodus 16:15 says, “So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, ‘This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.’” We are so grateful for the manna that the Lord continues to provide for us daily!
