Best Man
My other best man. My right had man. My brother. Growing up, I didn't think we'd be locked in how we are now, but we check in with each other if we're even thinking about leaving the house. He knows me best and that's why he has the role of best man. I trust him to do what he needs to make everything leading up to the wedding to my satisfaction.
Maid of Honor
Teneika and I met at our current place of employment. Since day one she has been upbeat and inclusive. I was a little reserved at first, but to know her is to love her and you'll quickly start to feel that way, even if you are fighting against it! I am proud to say that she is my work twin!!! We are two peas in a pod and find ourselves literally thinking the same thing or finishing each other’s sentences. She is the yin to my yang and I couldn’t imagine saying I do without my work twin! For this event, her role is Director of Engagement, sure to be the life of the party!
Best Man
One of my best men. A long time, true friend. I officially met him through mutual friends and everything was up from there. I might not have let him know, but he's helped me through some of my thickest times and I know I need him here on this special occasion.
Maid of Honor
Geneva and I met through a mutual friend. What started out as me befriending the mother of his children, blossomed into a long standing friendship filled with ups, downs, laughing, and tears! We have been through so much together! I am happy to call her one of my best friends and I couldn’t imagine saying I do without her. For this event, her role is Administrative Officer , sure to be working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly!
Groomsman
One of the homies. I'm not sure exactly when we met, but I know it's long enough to know he is one of my brothers for life. I can get a little wild at times and I probably won't even listen, but I can count on him to keep me level headed (most times). It's an honor to have him amongst this group of men.
Bridesmaid
Sharonda is Ralph’s sister, so I’ve known her just about as long as I’ve known him. Sharonda has always been inclusive and shown up for me during various outings and events! She is a super sweet person who can bake her behind off (ask her how many times I’ve been over to pick up cookies)! I couldn’t imagine saying I do without my future sister-in-love! For this event, her role is Creative Director, sure to jazz up the place!
Groomsman
It seems so long ago hanging out and partying when I made trips to Western Michigan. If memory serves me correct, it's when we met. I've never not had a good time when we decided to be on some tom foolery. When all else failed, I knew Nate was going to be down for whatever and over time, he became one of the first people I hit up. Years later, it's still the same. The homie, glad to have him.
Bridesmaid
Shavonte and I met around 2012 at Davis Aerospace where we both used to work. We had a lot of things in common and quickly became inseparable. Although I relocated in 2015, we have remained friends and I am so honored to have her by my side for this special day and I couldn’t imagine saying I do without my home skillet biscuit!! For this event, her role is Chief Management Officer, sure to manage our approach to the wedding, make sure everything is running smoothly, and that we have a great time (not to mention reeling in the bride when she gets a bit gnarly) 😂.
Groomsman
Roger is my only sibling so naturally, he does not play about me. Growing up, people always thought we were twins, a true testament of how close we are to one another. My brother is very charismatic and has a huge sense of humor. Perhaps one of his greatest gifts is his voice of reason. He’s sure to keep me calm when no one else can! For this event, his role is the Director of the Bride Assistance Program (BAP). Please reach out to his 1-800 number in case of emergencies, or if I get too sassy and all other intervention methods have failed (secret weapon for the groom).
Bridesmaid
Danae is my sister-in-love who I’ve had the pleasure of being blessed with by my brother. She is very creative, knowledgeable and giving. She has experience with what it takes to plan a wedding and is sure to keep everyone on track and in line with pertinent deadlines. She is an amazing wife and mother of three so it is safe to say she has plenty of experience managing multiple people at a time. I couldn’t imagine saying I do without my sister-in-love! For this even, her role is Director of Timeliness, sure to make sure no deadlines are missed.
Father of the Groom
Mentor to the community, but especially to his sons. Ralph’s dad will ensure the groom is in tip top shape for the bride. Equipped with life skills, chivalry, and a no nonsense attitude, he has the perfect recipe to pass down to Ralph. For this event, his role is the Training Director for the Men, sure to make sure they have fun, but don’t get too rowdy.
Mother of the Groom
From teacher to assistant principal, Ralph’s mom sure knows how to inspire, encourage, and influence everyone who has the pleasure of coming in contact with her. She is a successful mother of seven who is the epitome of taking care of home and having a thriving career. Her role for this event is Training Director for the Women, because who says you can’t thrive in both your home life and your work life.
Father of the Bride
My tough no nonsense father who has raised me to make sure my bark is as big as my bite. Don’t worry, he’s sweet inside, as long as you don’t mess with me. For this event, his role is Chief of Security for the bride, he’s sure to make sure the bride gets to the groom physically and mentally intact.
Mother of the Bride
I’m pretty sure my mom missed her calling as someone’s budget director because when it comes to money and getting the best bang for your buck, she’s your girl!!! Managing money comes second to being everyone’s sounding board and personal therapist, what else’s can I say, she’s all that!!! For this event, her role is Chief Financial Officer, sure to make sure we don’t go too far over budget 🫣!
Father of the Bride
This father of the bride is sure to capture all the action with his handy dandy camera nearby and keep the party going while in his dancing shoes. Be prepared for lots of jokes and smiles with him!
Flower Girl
The energetic, fun, spunky, daughter of the groom, will make sure the aisle is beautiful for the bride!
Ring Bearer
The cool, energetic, athletic nephew of the bride, is sure to keep the rings safe and secure!
Flower Girl
The detail-oriented, quiet storm, niece of the bride, will make sure the beautification of the aisle isn’t missing a spot!
Ring Bearer
He may be cute and he may look innocent, but beware, if you get too close to the rings, the nephew of the bride is sure to pinch you and pull your hair!
