We met through mutual friends, and in true millennial fashion, we connected on Instagram. 3000 miles, a never ending text thread, and multiple FaceTime dates later (where we actually watched movies together before Netflix Party was a thing)- Josh made a trip to New York and took Kim on a date. On that date, we both knew one thing for sure- that we didn't want it to end. This turned a simple dinner into hours of conversation, and the more we got to know one another over time- the more we knew, this was something special.

Just a few short days before the big move to Florida, Josh had a plan that Kim had no idea about. (No, really, she had no idea- it was the greatest surprise!) the Williamsburg pier has always been a special place for them. They would go there to for long walks, or talk about our future plans and dreams. Knowing this, Josh decided that it would be fitting to have one last NYC date at their special place. After a calm day on Governer's Island of food truck hopping and laughing, Josh brought Kim back to the pier where he had their close family and friends hiding so that Kim wouldn't see them. The long steps were covered in a rose petal trail that led to a heart where Josh asked Kim to marry him. And she said YES!
