Recent news coverage has mentioned cartel-related activity in certain areas of Mexico, primarily along parts of the West Coast. The region where our resort is located was not reported as being directly affected. Popular destinations on Mexico’s East Coast, including Riviera Maya and Cancun, have continued normal tourism activities. Our resort is located in the Costa Mujeres area near Cancun, which is home to several resorts and includes a controlled access checkpoint for entry into the area. The resort maintains its own security protocols, and airport transportation is available through a shuttle service operated by a transportation provider recommended by the resort. For the most up-to-date travel guidance, please refer to official government travel advisory websites. If you have any questions related to wedding travel logistics, please feel free to reach out to Taylor. As of March 5, there are no travel advisories prohibiting travel to Cancun International Airport or the surrounding resort areas.
